Artist's Description
This is a commission piece for a friend who wanted to memorialize the place where she and her family lived as they were moving back into town. It's such a beautiful setting for a home; so very peaceful and quiet out there. I enjoyed painting this on scene.
About Lee Stockwell
I was born in Medford, WI and grew up mostly in that beautiful state. When it came time for me to leave home I ended up moving out to California where I've been ever since. My love for painting was inspired and encouraged first by my cousin Todd. He got me started and I have slowly developed since then. I have no real formal art training - I have just picked up bits and pieces of technique along the way. The pieces you see posted on this site are my more successful undertakings.
