I experimented with brush strokes and texture in this painting to bring out the feathers on the bird and the leaves on the trees while remaining impressionistic.
I was born in Medford, WI and grew up mostly in that beautiful state. When it came time for me to leave home I ended up moving out to California where I've been ever since. My love for painting was inspired and encouraged first by my cousin Todd. He got me started and I have slowly developed since then. I have no real formal art training - I have just picked up bits and pieces of technique along the way. The pieces you see posted on this site are my more successful undertakings.
